Privacy Policy

GreenRoot Labs is the working name of an independent, non-commercial side project run by a private individual based in Switzerland. There is no registered company behind it.

For any privacy question or request, write to privacy@greenrootlabs.app. The full name and postal address of the responsible person are provided on request, or where the law requires it.

Waitlist sign-ups. If you join a product waitlist (for example for FastyMe), we store the email address you enter, which product the sign-up is for, and the date and time of the sign-up. Nothing else.

Aggregated visit statistics. Our hosting provider produces anonymous, aggregated statistics such as page views, referrers, rough geographic region and device type. These are not used to build a profile of you and are not linked to your identity.

Technical server logs. Like every web server, ours processes your IP address, browser user agent, requested URL and timestamp to deliver pages and to detect abuse.

Your theme preference. Light or dark mode is stored locally in your browser (local storage). It never leaves your device and is not a tracking cookie.

We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no social media pixels and no third-party analytics that identify you personally. That is why this site shows no cookie banner.

Under the GDPR, we rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) when you voluntarily submit your email address to a waitlist, and on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating a secure, functioning website for server logs and aggregated statistics. The equivalent principles of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) apply in parallel.

Waitlist addresses are used for one purpose only: to notify you when the product you signed up for becomes available, plus occasional short updates about that same product. No newsletters about unrelated topics, no advertising for third parties. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

We keep the number of service providers small. Website hosting and delivery, and the managed database that stores waitlist sign-ups, are handled by our infrastructure providers acting as processors on our instructions. They may operate servers in the European Union, Switzerland or the United States.

Where data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EEA, it is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard. We do not pass personal data to anyone else, and we never sell it.

Waitlist entries are kept until the product has launched and you have been informed, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first. Technical server logs are kept for a short period (typically up to 30 days) for security and troubleshooting. Aggregated statistics contain no personal data and may be retained indefinitely.

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Waitlist data is stored in a managed database with access restricted by row-level security rules, so submissions can be created but not read back by visitors. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we keep the attack surface deliberately small.

You can ask for access to the data we hold about you, and for its correction, deletion or restriction. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest, withdraw a consent you previously gave, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. Just send an email; we do not require a specific form.

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted an email address, contact us and we will delete it.

Individual GreenRoot Labs apps may process additional data inside the app itself — for example a fasting history in FastyMe. Each product has its own privacy information, which applies in addition to this page. This policy covers the greenrootlabs.app website only.

As our products grow, this page will be updated. The date at the top always shows the current version.
